Word of the week: "Communication"

“Communication” Feel the shiver running down your back! In this blog post I am not going to talk about communication and a little bit about collaboration. And why I think that the two c’s are to 99% whats makes our yearbook production a good yearbook production. I believe that communication and collaboration is focused on speaking to others, improving teamwork, expressing my opinions, listen to the opinions of others and solving problems in different ways. This is important, especially because yearbook feels a lot more like a job than I subject in school. Communication is also the key to teamwork and teamwork leads to success. That order always remains. I can’t have success, before I have teamwork and I don’t receive communication with the absence of communication. Collaboration means involvement, cooperation, participation and assistance which is even more based on supportive teamwork. Free donuts for everyone!   And suddenly, I was the assistant editor of something I’ve never done before… My name is Mia Langhoff, I am turning 16 in five days and I'm the assistant editor of the 2018 yearbook. In this blog post, I am going to talk about my goals and visions as part of the editor team. Since I've never worked on a yearbook before, I didn't know what to expect. I was surprised in a good way. The yearbook consists of 13 high school students, and since that is such a small group, everyone has to have a good work ethic. We have to work fast and with quality, under pressure. The first draft of the yearbook is already due in February. When I decided to apply for the job as the assistant editor - and got the job - I had clear ideas and goals for this quarter.
